Lafferty has been better than Gregor in every way, it’s not even close. It was a cap dump by Tre. The same reason they couldn’t land Zadorov- no cap

From our perspective Laff's added much needed speed & his performance has been everything you could ask from a bottom 6er.

For the Leafs Gregor seems to have been a great add so to get a decent pick is actually some nice work, just seems surprising a guy like Laff would be let go easily. But that was pre-season & maybe it wasn't obvious he'd be at the top of his game this year, don't totally blame the Leafs but glad its seemed to work for both sides.

No, he is not. Though the Leafs were looking to bring in both Zadorov and Tanev. They needed retention. As only 4.1 M opened with the LTIR.

It has not started out to be, but Gregor did win the job out of camp, and the teams have similer records. If the Canucks close things out in the third they will be 5 points to the better, but the Leafs have played 3 less games, though they will be 3 meaningless games if the Leafs fail to gain points in them.
