In fairness theres a lot more games in a season now than the last time the Leafs did a lot of winning

Games played per season would affect number of seasons to get to a milestone, not number of games played. You have more games played during your youth now, so that's an advantage, but that list didn't feature anyone from the past 15 years IIRC.

And it wasn't for just Leafs history.

EDIT: Holtby became the 2nd fastest in 2017.
