Refs are too scared to call penalties. Oilers, 95% of the time, rip the team on the PP. Canucks got away with a bunch as well.

Poor Nucks fans, don't even know what a dive is.
Nurse didn't even go down in either of the 3 plays.
1: when Louie smacked him in the head
2. When Van forward tied up his legs behind the net for 3 sesames
3. When Louie extended his knee and obstructed with Nurse.

Call it embellishment if you want to feel like a victim but not dive.
A Dive is what Petterson did to draw a penalty in first.

The replay of the high stick on Nurse from the front look obvious - it taps underneath his visor and moves it up. The overhead replay makes it look like a dive. Whatever helps you sleep at night I guess.

Refs need to issue embellishment calls to these players over selling it. A Montreal player did it also last night. There is a fine line between lack of integrity and ensuring the officials did see the high stick but it needs to be figured out.

If you aren’t cheating you aren’t trying. The NHL has never taken diving (or anything else for that matter) seriously and it never will.
