The Caps probably played more games than the Rangers but I'd like to point out how ridiculous a defenseman having 12 more points than the >PPG Panarin who is having as good of a season in his excellent career, as ever.

First part you're right, but the 2nd part you're way wrong. How do you get boarded, hit from behind, when your back is what makes contact with the boards?

It was a very soft penalty call that shouldn’t have happened but the senators were 29 wins vs 47 losses last year. Wouldn’t most, if not all refs have a negative win-loss in games they officiated for them last year?

Also, the hit on Namestnikov was fine. It’s unfortunate that he hit hurt, but it was far from boarding. Video evidence is posted above in this thread.

Probably right. Very dangerous hit though, even if legal. Just the contrast was a bit much.

The Zaitzev penalty, however. Yikes. But the math of 29w 47l would give 2-3 rather than 1-4
