I feel like a lot of people don't understand all the intricacies that go into making the schedule. Arena availability, days the teams ask to be off, travel, mandated days off, etc., etc.

I'm sure the league would love to simply have every team play three games a week with no back to backs and have the same amount of games every night of the week.

This is an average Flames period right now. They usually get more shots but get heavily outplayed and rely on Rittich.
