So is the NHL angling toward a league wide sked where games are only played on 3 or 4 different nights of the week?

It's been like that for years, especially during the NFL season. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday are all very busy nights. Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday are light. The NBA also has a lot of games on Wednesday and Friday and a lot of these buildings are shared between the NBA and NHL so it makes sense.

Glancing through the sked it just feels like there are a lot more nights of 1 or 2 games when it might have normally been 3+. The Tuesday before Thanksgiving has 0 games, followed by a full Wednesday and 0 on Thursday lol. Wtf? They definitely need more human intervention in the schedule making.

Hopefully the 1 or 2 game nights have better matchups than what we’re being treated to today…
