If Calgary gets even 2 OT loser points in that theoretical 7-game streak, Vegas has to win another 2 games to overtake them.

You seem like a guy I'd love to make a bet against…

I've dealt with crazy sports streaks for a long time, and I hate standings.

Fair enough. In the NHL especially, things like the loser point are really in favour of the team in higher standing. No doubt there is always a statistical probability of change but the likelihood is far less than other systems.

Oh I agree. The NHL makes it a little harder..... but I just remember a few

2007 Rockies
2011 Cardinals
Rays caught the Red Sox/Yankees in 2008?
Utah Jazz did some crazy turnaround just last season, if I'm not mistaken (I'm not much of a Basketball guy)

Everyone likes to bust out numbers and stats and I get that, I just know that I've seen "the impossible" a lot, or seemingly a lot, more so in the last 10 years then what I remember of the previous 20.
