Roussel is a cheap shot artist. While Thorburn is borderline useless....he's not a rat. Roussel can be a good hockey player, he's effective. He's just a pos too.

That's honestly not that shocking, as an objective fan. This kind of stuff gets let go all the time even in regulation. Cross-checking is almost exclusively called when it is away from the puck. And when they got tangled, that's on both of them. Matthews sneakily holding back Edmundson and drawing a reaction, refs not buying it.

it's not shocking because we're used to the refs being incompetent. it's pretty bush league when they say they want to crackdown on stickwork this year though
