I was just thinking...isn't this exactly what we had in the playoffs minus Lovejoy? It does seem like the obvious place to start. I hope Wilson and Pouliot are given a fair chance to shake things up though.

Injuries, plus incentive to rest players due to cup fatigue, I hope so. Heck Cullen and Rust might not even be in the line up opening day. Definitely worried about fatigue mid way through.

I just looked at this lineup compared to last year's and wow... What a difference a year can make. Truly incredible.

Yeah I've always felt they should start with how they finished and add different kids and move people around as the season wears on. Obviously you want competition in training camp and if a guy truly wins a job, you give it to him, but from what we know now, start with what won us a Cup. Sheary will struggle at times, so Wilson will get his shot. Kunitz will be lazy and suck, so Wilson/Guentzel/whoever will get their shot. I suppose, in hindsight, a more interesting poll would have been "HFBoards predicts playoff lineup" or something.

Perron for Hagelin and Scuds for Daley, each deal on its own was a steal. Together, the difference in value on those deals was ridiculous. We're such a better lineup this year.
