The consensus gathers around Justus Annunen at #12, making him the org's top goalie prospect!

I know the last poll isn't closed yet, I'm going to try to get the polls back on the same schedule after my f***up, because I'm usually busy in the evenings.

Kovalenko for me again, even with the news of his contract. Still voting for Clurman to add, and then O'Connor.

Kovalenko. He signed for 3 years at the KHL, so it would be sometime before he joins the team (if ever). Being a RW, the AVs might be less patient in waiting if he performs well.

Morrison still needs improvement or Henry could supersede him are my next choices.

Add O'Connor.

Pure upside this has to be Kovalenko. I dont think the 3 year deal in the KHL should be a concern at all. He's a raw prospect so he'll need time to continue getting better anyway. He's expressed a desire to play in the NHL already and we'll still own his right in 3 years.

We can afford to be real patient with him and just wait and see what kind of player he can develop into. Lots of skill and talent, if he can put it all together he definitely has Top 6 upside.

The pool feels deep!

It certainly is.

I mean we're through 11 prospects now, and we still have guys not ranked yet with legit middle 6 NHL upside.

We've got a consensus Top 10 prospect pool now, and with almost none of these guys graduating this year(Kamenev the only one likely to graduate), and the likelihood of adding 2 1st round prosepcts to the pool next summer(With at least one standing a good chance to be a Top 10 selection next summer), it should only get better.

I think there's a legit argument that could be made for the Avs having the best prospect pool in the league by this time next summer, AND while making playoffs that same season. Hypothetically imagine we get to add a Kappo Kakko to the prospect pool next summer with Ottawa's 1st, and guy like Cozens/Honka/Foote with our own 1st next summer. While only having Kamenev Graduate. Kakko, Makar, Kaut, Cozens, Bowers, Timmins. That would be our Top 6 next summer.

Add Barron.

Is Boikov eligible?

I know Mironov was upset with coaching decisions when he left, but do they still own his rights for a while? Did they leave on good speaking terms?

Forget about Mironov... his time in Colorado is over. He might get another shot in the NHL in 4 years when his Avs rights expire.

I know we are currently feeling that is the most likely outcome, or he would have already made the list. If we still have his rights for 4 years, maybe we can trade them for something if he continues to look promising.

Why would a team trade for a fringe NHL player (at best) that walked out on his contract after not getting the outcome he wanted? Teams have plenty of similar quality players around their own systems without spending for one.

You are probably correct. I had forgotten his age when we drafted him. Thought he was still much younger and a lot more upside ahead.

With news of Kovalenko signing in KHL I rate him much lower than before.

Lower prospects normally require 2-3 years and wouldn't too concerned. Kamenev is already at 4 years. Greer and Meloche completed 3 years. Makar/Timmins/Bowers are entering their 2nd and could require another season, which would be 3 years.

Interestingly, he expected to be a mid-round pick and still attended the Draft from Russia. This showed some interest to eventually reach the NHL and the 3 year to play in the KHL would be perfect. However, if he signs an extension, he is unlikely to ever join the team.
