Goal
-Drafting the team that would win this coming season (2020/2021)

Salary Cap

60M floor, 75M ceiling

Draft
-Snake draft style
-3rd round will be reversed (meaning the team that picks 31st in round 1 will pick 1st in rounds 2 and 3)

Trades
-Can trade picks/players as long as everyone has 20 players at the end of the draft
-If your pick has been skipped you can't trade it
-When making a trade, please post in this thread and have the other GM confirm
-Each asset may only be traded ONCE, meaning every pick once, and every player once
-No three team trades
-No on the clock pick trading
-We will have a veto council of 3 people for controversial trades

Contracts
-Using 2020/21 cap hits
-HOWEVER: any player who played last season in the NHL and who doesn't have a contract at the time the game starts uses their 2019/20 cap hit (i.e. possibly Mike Hoffman)
-Players must have a contract for the 2020/21 season, OR have played in the NHL in 2019/20

Time Limit for picks
-2 hours for rounds 1-6, 1 hour for rounds 7-18, 30 minutes for rounds 19-20
-If you have back to back picks, it's still 2 hours not 4
-The clock starts at 10:00 AM ET and ends at 12:00 AM ET
-You have 10 minutes to change your pick if the player selected has been picked, then we move on

Skipped Picks
-I will auto teams with skipped picks if 40 selections have been made since the pick
-Auto skipped if you have a pick to make up

Voting
-Internally to determine playoff teams, HF games for rounds 1 and 2, polls for the next 3 rounds
-Tie breakers are most votes from players in the game
-Siblings cannot vote for each other

Rosters
-12F, 6D, 2G

70M is fine, is 60M the floor?

Also if you trade for a pick can you later trade the player taken with that pick?

60M is the cap floor, sorry I'll make that more specific. I'm willing to bump ceiling to 75M too.

Yes you can trade the player taken with the pick. So essentially you can trade something twice but thats it. I don't want anything dumb like last game.

Game will start November 2nd.

The 75M ceiling? We've done it before at 70, that was a challenge, 83 is too easy tho. I'm super flexible on the cap for this, so whatever the consensus is is cool with me:)
75 makes sense. Means terrible contracts go undrafted and a guy/girl has a chance to pick a decent team without worrying about capspace in round 3. :)

Yeah we've tried both, I'll see what people feel like. I'm giving it over a week for signups so plenty of time

If we can figure something out for weekends(tends to be the days with the most skipped picks) such as timer pauses later on Friday's and doesn't start until earlier on Mondays I'm in(People can still make picks on weekends).

81.5M is a bit ridiculous considering we won't be saddled with many of the awful contracts that exist unless we choose to.

Yeah forgot how easy the 81.5m cap was last time when you don't need to take on bad contracts.

I'll vote 70m...but maybe if opinions are split we could do 75m to split the difference.

I guess let's see if we can fill it first.

That's the best time for me for the game, if anything you could send lists?
