What's left out there that's interesting? Was Grabner the backup plan to JVR or would we have signed both?

Neal is the only interesting thing left on the board. The rest aren't worth pursuing over internal options.

Trades need to be made to clear up the logjam so I would look at someone like Zucker.

I think if we get a top line winger it'll be from a team that needs to clear some cap.

Chayka is a fan of contingency trades. Karlsson is likely the next domino to fall. A team like Tampa may need to move someone if they land him, or Ottawa may trade Stone. Most teams aren't actually in cap hell right now.

Trade targets I can think of now the dust has settled a bit:

Toffoli or Kempe - LA is crunched a bit and might prefer one over the other. They probably need to ditch some salary.
Bjugstad - Florida might want to sell high. Big body, RHS. I don't like buying high but Chayka doesn't get taken for rides.
Zucker - the Wild might prefer taking assets for him instead of paying him, freeing up a spot for a younger player
Miller or Tyjo - Tampa might want to ditch one for the right price even if they don't get Karlsson.
Burakovsky - no longer cheap or waiver exempt, the Capitals might want to trade him for something
Nyquist - after taking Zadina from us, they might also take another young player for this UFA to be.
K.Hayes - NYR in rebuild, might offer him up for something reasonable.

Got to think Detroit wouldnt mind getting some defensive prospects after drafting yet another forward. Maybe Cappo or Dineen + a 2nd for Nyquist?

K. Hayes is interesting. Hadnt thought about aquiring him. But NYR needs some players even if they are rebuilding and it seems like they would prefer to move Zuc.

Burakovsky didnt interest me much until adding Grabner. We got our PK guy, so adding another trigger man works for me. Just tjink we need to move Panik in any of these situations, and he has a similar cap space to Burakovsky.

I think at these point TyJo and Miller will be in Tampa for another year.

Sign me up for Zucker. I still think they could make a run for Kessel, and they were saying they needed to shake up their roster and they have done anything but that.

I've tried to figure out how to get one of those two from L.A. I think they are like Tampa where they are going to try to go all in this year and then retool if they dont get the cup.
