Maybe I'm missing something, but I've never understood this rule. The team in our league had no control over whether or not their players contract was terminated or not. And now if they want their player back, they have to waste a free agent spot for a player that they already had on their team?

Its a pretty unique situation Kane is in. It literally almost never happens and need a rule around whose eligible to be eligible to be drafted and retained. But I get what your saying. Something we can have a closer look at.

Just my opinion and I’m fine either way but I say let NSH decide if they want to keep him or not.

Yeah I think in this case it makes sense. It’s a rather unique situation so I am going to rule Nashville does not have to drop Kane.
