If you guys wanted to move Vince Dunn, what would the cost be?
If Mikkola was ready or Walman hadn't totally regressed, Dunn may be moved if the return helps the Blues. Right now, they couldn't afford the hole it left on the left side as it would force Bortuzzo to play on his off side which isn't good.

Perhaps trade Dunn when Gunnarsson returns? Play Ed, Bouw and Gunnar on the LD and hope to hell Mikkola or Walman are ready by next year?

No way. Mikkola has potential, but Walman probably won't be an impact NHLer. For all of his tools, he's terrible at using his teammates and often looks like a circus act when trying to defend. He's the Paajarvi of defensemen. He might gradually clean up his game and figure out how to use his shot as a powerplay specialist in a few years, but I'll be surprised if he ever becomes as good as Dunn is right now.

It's nonsensical to deal a very young sophomore defenseman who can skate so you can play UFAs who can't stay healthy or perform when they are. The Blues cannot move Dunn unless they're also acquiring his replacement.

And if you aren't dealing Dunn as part of a package for an upgrade defenseman, what would you hope to get back for him that would change anything with the team right now?

The numbers are what they are and hes 22 with 2 60 point seasons . I think most fans of any team would like to have him and would expect those numbers to increase. In the next 4 or 5 years he may put up similar numbers to Halls best year. My response was mainly driven by the exaggeration of Willy being 'no where near as good' .That's all really.

Play making wingers who have only been (arguably) the best player on their line when on the 3rd line (and you could argue Kadri) and a one man show like Hall was being compared based on points is eye roll inducing.

How they played yesterday afternoon, I'm surprised a few guys weren't traded in the middle of the second period.
