Chicago’s asking prices are completely so ridiculous, but more power to them if they can keep getting teams to overpay like the bolts did I guess

I think Dubas should be fired right now. Before he does something really stupid to save his job…. Which he will lose after the playoffs anyways

I would rather we keep Knies. From what I have see of him, he is the real deal and brings an element this team desperately needs.

I am not sold Fleury fixes our problems.

Fleury or any other goalie is not going to fix the problems of this team i.e.

- how to play against hard forecheck
- how to hard forecheck
- how to play when neutral ice is clogged and opposition plays strong defensive hockey and keeps you to the outside
- how to play when opposition plays physical against you

Exactly, fleury and hagel won’t change the eventual disappointment that lays once again ahead for the Toronto maple leafs

Really good for the present but maybe not so much for the future. Realistically, either or both of Fleury and Mrazek could've potentially nixed this trade via NTC. I'd prefer to focus on certainties rather than what ifs.

I would rather aquire a bit more grit & play run n gun then aquire a goalie that is in the twilight of his career.

It'd be pretty cool to have Fleury play for the Leafs though.

Let's assume a first round exit is inevitable,

Matthews wins Rocket Richard trophy, passes Keon for all time goals, and Fleury is a Leaf, I'd love to see it.

And I'd be more comfortable with Fleury in net than anyone else on the market. Would I severely mortgage the future on it?

...........I dunno man maybe it can happen last minute at a lesser cost.

He's been getting bounced around, obviously always a Penguin. I'd LOVE to watch a first round with him in our net win or lose. Super nice dude.

Unless I personally profit from selling all those Fleury jersey's then I say no. lol

Seems like an easy pass. Lindholm on the other hand seems like a miss.

Hard to feel any emotion about something that didn’t exist. Let’s read about some deals that DID happen. Even if true, the report of any deal that didn’t happen means el zippo.

Losing Amirov (temporarily I hope) and trading away so many 1st's with little return, has really has changed the value of this teams remaining prospects and picks. What a steep ask either way.

Taking the human side out of this for a moment, because we all know that hockey comes a distant second to a persons health and well being.

If the team loses Amirov, what a kick in the balls.
