Hrivik completes his hat trick with an EN deflection off of Chris Bourque's excellent hustle to negate an icing.

Series done. Pack in the CF.

All around terrific performance by the Pack tonight. They were the better team from puck drop.

Still a really long way to go for both teams, but has an NHL team ever won the Stanley Cup the same year their AHL affiliate won the Calder Cup?

Hrivik is a legitimate NHL prospect. Been saying it for a while, despite the paltry point totals.

Also worth pointing out that he has 17 points in 20 career playoff games.

9 shots on goal in one game is an amazing total. Even so Hrivik at best has limited upside if he makes it to the NHL with us. A bottom liner and most likely 12th-13th forward. He has an NHL frame--decent enough skating and is good on the boards and in the corners. His offense is limited. The 9 shots tonight is an outlier for him--he usually doesn't get a lot of shots on net.

Chris Bourque by the way has 92 points in 96 AHL playoff games and he's a superb AHL scoring machine but a marginal NHL player at best. The NHL is still a step up and not everyone can take it. He leads the team with 14 points in 11 playoff games and hasn't scored all his goals in one game. Just saying.

Truly though between Hrivik and Ryan Bourque being up with the Rangers now I'd probably choose Hrivik. His size alone--he would fit onto our 4th line better than Ryan Bourque if another forward were to go down. OTOH I'd rather see Lindberg than either.
