I thought Giuttari did pretty well last year. Not an NHL prospect but as an AHL depth player he's good.

Berzolla was interesting but we didn't get to see.

Lots of penalties with Digiacinto. He may play if Geertson can't go.

I expect Whelan and Sanchez signings in next few days.

O'Leary is not an NHL player but we was OK as a fourth line center. Hartford has had worse players than him.

O'Leary sucks, don't know about DiGiacinto.

25 yr old D, played 2 years BU, 2 at Q'pac, '19-20 in ECHL, last season in AHL
as LHD, maybe of note re Pack,
depending on what happens w Jones, Roberston, Reunanen, Hajek, Bitetto, and if league reinstates taxi squads ....

Nobody but me is gonna make this comparison but it's about time Hartford starts resembling Syracuse so that the Rangers can start resembling Tampa. It's about time someone said it. Lets Go Pack!

I feel like everybody agrees with this. It's been a common sentiment for years on here.
Absolutely. Hartford used to be a perennial playoff team in the nineties and 2000s. It wasn't until we got into the 2010s that things took a downward turn and everyone recognized Company Man Ken probably needed to go. But for the better part of a decade, I think most were constantly calling for major reforms in Hartford. The fact that so many veteran AHL guys came and stunk up the joint while we failed to develop any bottom-six guys (which is really all we ever sent Hartford in terms of prospects) was a red flag. When Drury took over and the brought in a new staff it seemed like a positive step but didn't get us all the way there. I like what they have in place now so we'll see.

Anyway, yeah. The topic of rebuilding Hartford has been a constant topic of conversation in this thread and several others on the board.

As usual the crack Hartford web page has no information but Gerry Cantlon from Howlings had the following:

"The Wolf Pack will play the Providence Bruins in a game closed to the general public on October 6th at the XL Center. The puck will drop at noon. In addition, they will play two other exhibition games, both against Bridgeport on October 8th and 9th."

So with a game on the 6th, a week from today, the formal camp opening should be imminent. Currently 1 goalie, 5 defensemen and 8 forwards assigned to Hartford with more on the way.

Did I maybe miss the info as to when the Pack will start their training camp? Anyone know when it starts?

typically, some Jacksonville guys may attend Pack Camp as well
Jacksonville Icemen at eliteprospects.com

some guesses by me:
the goalie Williams has had a couple Pack Call Ups and games back in '17-18
Fortunato was a BU and Qpac D, is 25
Mikhalchuk is a tall, 21 yr old W who played WHL '18-20
