Hard to sell tickets for games

I purchased tickets from a season ticket holder, unfortunately, I can no longer attend the game. I thought it would have been easier to sell these tickets, but I seem to be having a hard time. Is it usually hard to resell tickets? Or do people tend to wait until the last minute to buy them? The game is in March, so I know I have time...but I need to sell them.
