it is a good day for beer and bbq ...do you get tomorrow off as well.

You guys do it right with the long weekends... Thursday (may as well take Friday, too).

Today's the day of my move to Manhattan! I had the choice between NYU and some LA schools and I choose NY.

I'm posting from the airport actually, but now the question is: do I casually cheer for the Rangers or go across the river and cheer for the Islanders?

I don't know why but I was under the impression that they would all get Thurs./Fri
...like Thanksgiving. Can't just shut down the economy for an extra day though.

This begs the larger question on holidays: Why haven't all holidays adopted the Thanksgiving model... falling on a Monday/Friday to assure a long weekend.

That is what we should all be doing... I think next year Canada Day will be on a Tuesday... This is a good political issue... probably steal a few votes with such a platform.
