Interesting list, but I would suggestion Eakins was a worse coach that several of the guys ranked "above" him.

I would posit that the list was written by an Isles fan. Milbury was the worst GM in the history of the league IMO, but definitely not the worst coach.

Gretzky was not a good coach, but not worse than Eakins. Milbury should be outside of the top 5. Eakins and the remaining members of the current top 5 could all be tied at 1.

Ahh, the infamous exit press conference. Not sure if I've ever seen or heard anything so bizarre in my life.

I'll join the rest of you in saying **** that guy. I wish him nothing but failure in the days and years ahead.

What always struck me about that press conference was when he talked about the playoffs. He was hired in 2013 and said as he was leaving that to be honest his plan was to MAYBE make the playoffs last season in Rexall and be primed to make some noise in Rogers Place.

So his goals for the team upon hiring was
2013-2014 - no playoffs
2014-2015 - no playoffs
2015-2016 - MAYBE make the playoffs
2016-2017 - MAYBE win a round

Pretty ambitious goals. Roger Nielson would be proud.
