Think in most of those cases it’s less about luck and more about not taking unneeded risks for meaningless games (Mantha, Rasmussen), or rewarding AHL players (Vanek).

Hope JDR recovers though. It’s a scary thing to go through

Just gotta interject for a moment to say it's getting really obnoxious hearing over and over how having a mediocre NHL season somehow completely ruined the development of a 19 year old.

Imagine if we stacked the first PP unit and the second unit was Ehn-Nielsen-Kuffner-Hirose-Kronwall.
Imagine if we had at least one unit that can score. I think between the two units they've scored once in the last 14 tries. The team has as many SH goals as PP goals in the last 7 games.

Maybe we should tell Ehn that he's killing penalties when he goes out on the PP. (That was an awesome pass by Glendening on the SH goal. Gotta give him props on that one.)
