Krebs on my ND list after the Hlinka. I haven't seen him yet with Kootenay, so I haven't had the opportunity for a change in opinion yet, but he looked horrible there. Slow, making sloppy, blind passes to no one in particular and honestly just going through the motions. I'm sure that's not his game most of the time but I need to see him play better.

I'm very much not a Krebs fan either, but to not put him on the list is a bit of an interesting take.
If you could for next time, indicate your DND List as well.

It's not necessarily that I wouldn't take him anywhere in my top 62, but that I would take him so late that there's almost 0 chance of him actually being there, so I didn't bother.

No Krebs, Pelletier, Poulin, Légaré, goalies...and guys like Clarke and Williams over them. :shakehead

Everyone’s entitled to their opinion, but yours is wrong. Lol.
Shoulda mentioned it here, but I rank goalies separately from players, that's the only reason they're not included.

Krebs and Pelletier I removed from my list entirely, because I just know both would get picked before I would consider picking them, and for that reason they're on my no draft list.

The other two are both interesting players.

Legare had a hot start. That's all. He finished on some chances, but he's not able to make plays himself, he's a garbage collector and those guys rarely have their offense translate to the NHL. His point production has died down some after the first ~7 games where he scored 15 points, and will continue to level out as the season goes on. The guy has 0 chance of ever being a top six forward- and that's what I look for. Potential. Because if you draft a player who has that high potential, but obviously is unlikely to hit it, they can still wind up being players who populate third and fourth lines if they don't turn out and are forced to adapt their game. I have little interest for the most part in drafting a "low potential player" for that reason.

Now Poulin, should probably be here. I like everything about his game, especially his hands in tight- minus his skating. His skating is such a massive red flag, among the worst for top prospects, but I could still see him being something a long the lines of a ~20-goal version of JvR if all things go as planned. He should debut in my next rankings.

You’re looking for potential, and you have Krebs and Pelletier in the third round or lower? Both prospects are excellent character guys tailor made for the modern NHL who are proving they can drive a line and put up great offensive numbers. And you’re making the case against Krebs, at least, on viewings from a tournament where he actually played quite well?

And again, you have guys like Clarke ahead of them? There is no excuse for that, nada. Even if you watched the worst imaginable game or two of Krebs and Pelletier and the best imaginable of Clarke, you should have enough respect for the scouting of professionals who have seen them play far more frequently and understand that they are on a different level. There’s a limit to opinion. You can’t just argue that, I don’t know, Brett Budgell should be first overall because you like him and see him as having the highest potential in the draft.

Edit: Or are you saying for Krebs and Pelletier that you think someone would take them, say, mid first round, and that you wouldn’t consider them until much later?

If that’s the case, I hope you won’t post any more rankings without clearly stating that there will be a very choice number of random players just completely missing because they’ll “go earlier than I would take them.” It just doesn’t make sense to me, though. Why bother to put Hughes and Kakko on it at all if you don’t see yourself getting a top pick? That’s equivalent logic in my eyes.

That's a harsh drop for Newhook and Honka. What's your reason?
I feel Newhook is still rated pretty well, and I think that's in line with where a lot of others put him. Admittedly, I had him too high to start the season- he just isn't a top five player, as much as I like him.

In regards to Honka, I am still interested in the kid for sure. But a lack of offense to start the year coupled with his defensive concerns scared me. I could definitely see him rising some when he gets his mojo back
