Nascar eh? fun! round and round we go. Haven't encountered many rednecks there, try west Virginia,we got shot at just driving where we apparently should not have been driving, who knew?
Got in a guy's pick-up while I was there and the first thing I see is the gun rack. I was a bit shocked, but then noticed they all had them. Bunch of f***in' NRA's.

Yeah, round and round we go, and 500 miles later, going near 200 mph, someone didn't die.

With that being said, let me know which sweater you think I should rep as I sit just a few rows behind the Habs bench.
I think you should go with this one:

That's encouraging,glad to see some evolving:thumbu:
I think the south gets a unfair characterization.

Down to earth, accepting folks. I came to the US from Canada in 1968 and have been in the south since 1980. Wouldn't live anywhere else.

This must have been decades ago because I haven't seen a gun rack since high-school

It's not just the south it's the nation, for good reason but this feels like it's spiraling towards an inappropriate topic imo and will be off.

Outside of Montreal.seen more games in Arizona than anywhere else, love it there. Nothing at all to be even mentioned expect poor attendance. Florida I had no issues but a friend got robbed/mugged trying to get tickets at the promenade, but he is a bit unlucky as he was also kidnapped in Central America.

Agreed. I had a great time in Arizona. Watched two games and other than a crappy team with the Coyotes, I have no idea why they don't watch the games. When I was there, it was more like 75% full. If people can go watch the football games at the same spot, they can watch hockey. It has to be because of the product on the ice and many options for sports fans?

As a general rule, if you don't go looking for trouble supporting the road team, you'll be fine.

You might have to withstand some verbal insults if you're unlucky, and some cities are more prone to that than others, but as long as you don't escalate the situation, you should be fine.

NHL fans are generally boring, and tame relative to sports fans around the world. Football and basketball games between rival teams are a war zone in Istanbul for one brief example. Did anyone see mo salah having a light show on his head during a crucial wcq game in Senegal, then needing an escort off the pitch?

A lot of the people I know in Arizona have season tickets and most also play hockey and I got in a few games but go there more or less to visit family and friends and golf. Many if not most are from other states and lot of seasonal migration there from Canada and elsewhere. They all say the same thing, the product, when they were in the hunt,it was packed. Similar to the plight of the Expos.
