Go check out the polls on the franco websites. I think many of you don't understand how many people eat up what the media feeds them. If it was anywhere near as bad as you guys think, there'd be a riot at the bell center right now.

Weber is WAY underrated being in the Nashville market. You all need to quit leaping off the cliffs...Weber is a fantastic defenseman, and he would be held in higher regard if he played for just about any team other than Nashville. He has deserved 2 Norris trophies easily and has bagged 0.

Everyone's allowed to have their opinions. If you think Subban is in the 15-20 group.. that's fine. Clearly a lot of people think that. It's really not a big deal. 15-20 are still incredible defenseman.

But that's not the big issue here. The big issue, to me at least, isn't how this trade looks today. It's how this trade looks in 3-4 years. Like.. what the ****... Subban will be 31 and Weber will be 35.

Weber doesn't scream to me that he's the kind of player that will hold up to 40 either. Maybe being in the less physical Eastern Conference will help his longevity.

Weber is a physical freak. Downright a physical freak. 6'4 almost 240 pounds. I think if Chara can be dominant until 37-38, so can Weber.

No it's not. Wether you like it or not is a totally different story. But on a hockey standpoint, this trade is a team dealing a #1 D for another team's #1 D.

It's debatable that Weber was even still Nashville's 1D. The past year especially Josi was at least as important as him.

The east is also smaller and faster than the west.
