I had something similar running successfully a few years ago for a few months and I've decided to start it again.
I'll keep working and updating rules, design, and 'gameplay' as we go.
Basically I'll keep a leaderboard of points for guessing game results, scorers, and other variables from games.
Prize for the winner will be announced at the end of the season
RULES
-You must post your guesses before the first whistle. You post at 19:59 left in the first period and it won't count.
-Only one post per game per user. Meaning I won't count you for a specific game if you have posted more than once for the same game. If you do end up posting more than once. Please make sure to edit out your first post.
POINT SYSTEM
Right score-------------5 points (You guessed Habs win 4-2, and we end up winning 4-2)
Right difference--------3 point (You guessed Habs win 3-1, and we end up winning 4-2, therefore 2 goal diff)
Overtime/Shootouts---2 points (Will the game go to overtime or shootout? yes/no)
Scorers-----------------1 point, -0.25 for wrong guesses (You guessed Emelin and Gallagher scored, but only Gallagher ended up scoring in a 1-0 game, you get 1 points, minus 0.25 for Emelin, total is 0.75 points for you for this category. Also, this applies to both teams, not only the Habs, meaning you can bet on both team's scorers. You can only have 1 predicted scorer per goal, so if your predicted score is 3-1, you can only have 4 total scorer guesses)
Fight--------------------0.5 points (Will there be a fight this game? yes/no)

We have two games this weekend, Buffalo tonight and Toronto tomorrow(Saturday). If you do not make it on time for the Buffalo game, you are still very welcome to bet on the Toronto game).
