Yeah I'd probably do it. 5 and 6 are pretty much interchangeable, 12 would give us a Wood/Perreault/Benson.

Assuming we don't get Michkov either way (sigh) we could still likely come away with Leonard and one of the above three which would be ludicrous.

Obviously, but the odds of getting a top of the lineup player at 12 are significantly higher than at 31st, 37th and 69th.

if mich is still on the board at 5th i would do Arizona 6th + 12th for 5th 31st +69th + MTL 4th rounder. if not then habs pick 5th and thats it. other deals might be done to move from 31st to say 20 or so to get a player.

The correct answer is almost always yes as 31,37 and 69 will not get you anywhere near 12th in this draft. I think you wait until the 4th pick is made just in case something ridiculous unfolds such as Carlsson dropping into your lap. If HuGo have decided to not take Michkov and Carlsson doesn't drop then it is a no brainer to make that trade.

Nope I dont do that since Arizona is going to take the guy I want at 5. Furthermore, there will be very good players likely dropping late 1st this year. Guys like Bjarnason, Stenberg, Edstrom, Brindley, Wahlberg, Strbak are all solid prospects and we could use our early 2nd to move up as well.
