I think covid and the bubble performance ended up buying the Habs time. Then Bergevin decides it’s “win now” time after the bubble and… we get this shit.


It’s inevitably going to boil over.

Why is the Habs coaching so averse to using their time outs to regroup ?

Maybe to a place that is a cap floor team like Arizona, but Price has to want to go there. Contenders don't have that kind of cap space available.

If only Bergevin groomed a successor... with the squeezed shedule coming (expansion, draft, free agency) it sucks to have to bring a brand new staff from outside the organisation.

The problem is how much cap are we going to have to eat over a 5 year span. If we’re rebuilding, that wouldn’t matter as much. But having a large amount of dead cap space 3-5 years from now could be a huge problem.
