Huge game. I'm hoping the Wings come out hard after two disappointing losses. I fully expect Howard to have a bounce back game.

Had a really rough weekend and had to end a relationship. Looking forward to this game big time. It's been awhile since I've been able to fully enjoy a Wings game. I miss my Wings.

Are those lines confirmed? I would love that if so. Z and Nyquist just aren't working at even strength this year.

So do I. He will probably have to if we want to win this one, because Price has been rock solid lately.

Showtime tonight. So, I expect them to show up and play their game. They should be eager to win this one after the latest disappointing losses, and I guess they will be. LGRW.

I'm thinking loss.

Price is a wall. Howard probably still shaking some of the rust off. I suspect he'll be back into game shape after this game, or towards the end of it.

I just hope it's a good loss..not a bad one like the Pens game.

I hope I'm wrong...I'm just going into this realistic.

Really not sold on the 3rd and 4th lines. Miller and Glendenning have been good but 3rd line?

Christ on a stick, is Babcock trying to drive Weiss out of town or something?

Also would like to see Smith sit and Ouellet and Marchenko get a look together once they figure out the goalie situation.

It is David Legwand all over again.

I'd really like to go back to our regular 4th line of Glendenning-Andersson-Miller. Have Jurco and Weiss play with Sheahan as they actually have some semblance of offensive skill.

Or scratch Andersson and call up Pulkkinen and put Jurco no the 4th line. He is clearly too good for the AHL right now (14 points in his last 6 games) so let him play and see what you got on a line with actual offensive players or trade him for a top 4 defenseman. I feel like playing in GR isn't doing anything for him right now.

Mike Babcock knows more about hockey than I ever will but my god can he actually give Weiss a ****ing break? He was one of the few forwards that played well last game and he gets rewarded by being paired with Joakim "I suck at hockey" Andersson? For good god, it's like he wants him to fail. Weiss was outstanding when he first came back being paired with Pavel and Helm, but despite that line averaging over 2 goals a game for an 8 game period, Babcock decides that was making things too easy and demotes him to the third line, where he still put up the most points per ice time on the team. Legwand and Hudler treatment to a T.

Yes he is overpaid and yes if cap space becomes an issue I would not be against buying him out (though hopefully not until at least another year) but he is still a good pp specialist and middle 6 player. He's being underutilized. Dude is scoring at a 50 point pace, and Babcock still plays him 10 minutes a night, meanwhile the Abdelkader-Zetterberg-Nyquist line stays together despite not scoring since what seems like the last lockout.

Wait. Now both Jurco and Weiss are on the 4th and Miller/Glendening are on the third?

What the hell?

Big game tonight. I would say it is a must win. If we do not win then that means at the end of the season both Tampa and Montreal hold tie breakers over us in head to head record.

You look at that Habs lineup and you have to wonder how they've done so well this season. That forward group is pretty terrible-looking.

I'd be inclined to agree, except Weiss isn't a deadline rental, which makes it all the more baffling.

I don't get it. While I think it's safe to speculate Babcock may want him bought out should we need cap space he IS one of our best 9 forwards, probably 5th-6th quite honestly. Even if his contract is bad and he is going to be bought out we might as well use him for the time being
