According to THIS report on USCHO, former DU head coach George Gwodecky was in Huntsville this week interviewing for the Chargers head coaching job after Kurt Kleinendorst stepped down.

Should UAH hire Gwozdecky it would be a huge boost to not only the program but also to the revamped WCHA as well. Furthermore, it would be a tremendous selling point to prospective recruits too.

Thoughts?

Gwoz would be an even better addition than Kleinendorst.

Hopefully this clues in the hockey fans of Huntsville that they should be going to UAH games, and this helps put a nail in the coffin of the Havoc and the glorified beer league that is the SPHL.

Well, Gwoz didn't land another college hockey gig, but he did land an NHL assistant coaching gig though - with the Tampa Bay Lightning. You can read about it HERE.

I just knew that it would only be a matter of time before Gwoz would land a new gig.
