I'd say that all Colombians, with the exception of Cuadrado, looked very ordinary. Which is ok, since they played the entire game one player short. They only improved after Japan scored their second.

Makes sense. He's one I really liked in the Colombia friendlies I watched before this tourney. Even if BMG won't be the club that gets him I hope he comes to europe this summer.

I’ve never been happier for Japan! This is so satisfying after what Colombia did last WC.

I don’t understand the Cuadrado substitution, but I was so glad for it. His pace and skill would’ve cause Nagatomo problems all game

I like to watch Japan play and am glad to see them win. It's a shame they usually fall a bit short, because their quick, technical style is refreshing.

Thank God they held on. With my luck I thought they were going to blow it. My feed cut out at the end and when it came back on, I saw people celebrating. I thought Columbia scored for a minute until I saw the players in blue celebrating.
