Turkey are in shambles apparently, the crowd turned against them and according to what I read they are going through the motions in training. They can still advance but they likely need a multiple goal win. Czechs will be without Rosicky but they need to win as well. Could be the first real open game of the tournament and maybe a rematch of 2008 :)

Spain look like they will rest some players while Croatia could be without Modric and Mandzukic and who knows if they recovered from the fan incident (they say they have). Winning Group D provides a very manageable path to the semifinals as well, which is why Spain would be wise to take this seriously. Croatia are probably through and in some scenarios finishing 3rd is better than finishing 2nd in this group. The third place team in Group D will likely face Wales, but the chance of playing France is there too, so its not something you purposely want to do unless you're willing to take that risk, runner-up plays Italy

Winning Group D should be the focus for Croatia and Spain.

Both Croatia and Spain should try to avoid the Italy matchup. Croatia in particular.

Italy isn't the problem. The last time Croatia lost against Italy was during WW2. we can deal with them as opponents.

The problem are the tough next rounds with probably Germany in the quarterfinals(Germans don't calculate games, they always go for a win) and France/England in the semifinals.

Hooligans will try to force a stoppage again today, supposedly a fan will try to attack the ref after the 30th minute. Additional policemen were sent from Croatia to France in order to help the French in preventing this from happening. Everyone blacklisted will be jailed today.

Croatia didn't pick a strong side today knowing they are through, in fact finishing third likely means Wales in the R16. About the threats, not sure if it's sensationalism or legit, but it seems the French, Croatian and even UEFA authorities are taking it seriously

Iniesta has grey hair? Wait, wasn't he fully balding a few years ago too? Hard to believe he's 32....

Ramos starting even though he's under a yellow card suspension possibility.

Hopefully he gets another one :D

They made it look so easy.

Croatia in big trouble here if they concede more.

Yep, no offside (though I indeed thought he was live) on the replay.

Great pass by Silva. He won't get a goal or assist, but he was the goal in this play.
