Wow, I am so impressed by these guys going to the quater finals while missing all the "star" players. Really, really good team effort and Haugen deserves a medal coming into this tournament being a national team debutant.

Now lets make it to the semi final!

Heia Norge!

Norway isn't in the quarters yet, just in the second round. They probably need another victory for the quarters.

Crap, there are still 12 teams left after this round.
Lol, my bad. I am flying high on victory right now, so please forgive me hehe

Norway will still play Canada,France and Swiss

We could beat two of those with some luck and hard work (perhaps all three even on a really, really good day), so it will be interesting to see how this plays out.
Most important thing though is to be happy about making it to round two coming in with minimal expectations and missing key players

A couple of games to impress the NHL scouts...

Bastiansen (Too old) and Spets (Too short) could be on the book for some scouts..

If you need to show kids what a team looks like that plays without effort, passion, heart or desire you show them this game played by Austria today. Embarassing.

Was Olimb really as dominant as his five points would indicate today? I'm a bit worried that he might be headed overseas again with this showing.

They played an absolutely abysmal Team Austria. Norway didn't even have to do much to beat them soundly. The only thing that was dominant was the absolute lack of danger coming from the guys in white.

Olimb was great imo. He looks like he has improved a lot after his year in NA. He is a much better skater and also looks stronger. The whole line with Bastiansen, Olimb and Skrøder was great.

For me the best thing about todays Norway game was the defensive effort. The Austrians rarely had any big chances and was held to the outside preety much all game. The worst thing is Laumann Ylvens injury, I think he will be out for a long time.

What I don`t understand is why no SEL-clubs has picked up Lars Erik Spets ?. I know he failed last time, but if you use him right he could be a great SEL-player Imo. He would probably be one of the best box-play specialists in the league and would also put up somewhere between 15-20 points.

Wouldn't say he was that dominant. Bastiansen was the dominant one, but Olimb moved pretty smart around the ice. And was among those who got Norway into the offensive zone. Bastiansen kept them there.

Great game for us Norwegians, but the injury was a downer. Just an real ******* move by the Austrian. It was very clear that it was just a frustration play. I can accept a injury if it's a play on the puck, but this was just dirty.
