Greg Pateryn‘s Revitalization

Pateryn is a guy I wasn’t expecting much out of this year, but man he’s been really good. Not putting up points, but it’s been a long time since Dallas has had a guy like this that can protect the crease & play great defense while being physical.

52.5% CF and rolling around 57.4% defensive zone starts.

Was the Pateryn/Benn trade after the Julien hire? Pateryn seems like a great fit in that Julien system.

He looked pretty darn good against the Rangers last night.
Also pretty physical player if I remember correctly.

Glad he is doing well in Dallas. Was not a very good fit for Montreal especially when his wife was demending a trade.

Has been a lot more physical than I seem to remember. Also, he got kudos for throwing with Lucic a few weeks ago and cutting him. Been decent for Dallas as of late.
