This is a signing made with perfect knowledge of that McKegg is on the outside looking in even when it is made.

So it’s primary done to provide us with a warm body which gives us depth if needed. I definitely like that. Under Gorton we were downright reckless entering many seasons without sufficient depth. You decide if a kid should play based on if he is good enough. Someone that aren’t good enough shouldn’t be put on a 4th line just because 3 guys got hurt or whatever. There will still be a COVID protocol the coming season and many are falling ill from the delta version again even if they are fully vaccinated (albeit without severe symptoms). I think that it’s just wise to have a full spare “4th line” if it’s needed. Comes at zero cost.

Seems like they’re trying to set the same style in place in Hartford too. More of an organizational exercise.

His best asset his speed, but only in a straight line, if he has to stop or make a turn he falls down. Hopefully spare part/AHL fodder
