Doing an experiment.Who is the greatest Montreal Canadiens skater of all-time?

I restricted the debate to M.Richard, Béliveau, Harvey, Lafleur and Morenz. No goalies (which is why I used the word ''skater'' and not ''player'').

    Poll is private.

Yvan "Roadrunner" Cournoyer not on the list?

How about "le chevreuil", Russ Courtnall?

So many greats over the years...almost need it to be about different eras. I am assuming you are talking player first, skater second?

    Richard
    Beliveau
    Cournoyer
    Lafleur

Are you talking about the one with the best skating ability or just the best player ever? Also by limited the list to who you want might not be the general consensus.

If you are talking actual skater then I suggest that Serge Savard be on that list. Savard was the smoothest skater ever to don the CH

Yeah, when I saw "skater" I assumed it was a poll about the best (fastest) skaters. Cournoyer would be on my list.

Need clarification on what "skater" means. Best player or best skating ability.

Fastest skater, Road Runner would be hard to beat. Most fluid, too many to count. Lafleur, Béliveau?

I'm 99% certain that "skater" was to mean "non-goaltender".

Sure, but again, is that best skater in regards to skating ability or best player?

    Best (non goalie) player.

I'm 99% sure they said skater because if they just said best player you'd have to consider Roy/Dryden etc.

That has to be "best player", since no one writes "best skating skater" and because, well, those five seem to me like the obvious five best non-goalies. And BenchBrawl knows what he's saying so there's probably no way he wouldn't have put Cournoyer amongst choices.

I always thought Vladimir Malakhov was one of the best and smoothest skater I saw in Montreal. Just effortless.

Sorry for the ambiguous term "skater".I meant best player but excluding goalie.Guess I ruined it.

Shall I create a new one? Mod? Can I start over?
