Yeah, I've always to know more about Lafontainei n the Q. Like, does he talk about it in interviews and stuff? Where did he live? What was it like to move to French-Canada from Michigan in 1982? He outscored Mario that season, which is crazy.
I think the word was it was a little crazy for him he didn’t like all the attention

Some additional info for reference: Oct. 2, 1954. Legendary Vancouver weightlifter and professional wrestler Doug Hepburn performs a feat of strength – lifting up a platform with six Vancouver Canuck hockey players up using his back. Roy LeBlanc/Vancouver Sun. PHOTO BY ROY LEBLANC /PNG

Hepburn was the first man in history to bench press 400, 450, 500, and 550 pounds

Newly seen pic of the week for me! Thanks!

Posted almost 7 years ago by me in the old photo thread.
Great Hockey Photos You've Just Seen for the First Time!

You posted right after me, so it's not new to you. But memories fade fast.
You are not alone though. I am in the same boat. :help:
It is impossible to remember them all.

Also, the platform photo (Vancouver) has also been posted in the old "Great Hockey Photos" threads.
With thousands of photos posted in these threads it's hard to keep track of which have been posted before. A lot of the ones here in Part III have already been posted in the other two photo threads.
But it doesn't hurt to post them again, because some are really good and worth re-posting.

Some people post a stream of a dozen variable-value pics.
Some use judgement and mine gold.

The latter helps us all.

True, fortunately my conscience is pretty clean when it comes to "dozen variable-value pics".
Also true, but my point was that it had already been posted, so the "use judgement and mine gold" approach did not apply in this instance. But generally, point well taken. :thumbu:
