Hey guys I've been away on vacation the last 6 weeks that's why I haven't blogged for so long but I have great news to share.

I talked to several Owen Sound Attack fans the last several weeks and they had nothing but ravishing news to share. They were honored to announce that Jarrod Maidens will be ready for training camp. Jarrod said that he will be back to a full speed game and anticipates his health will not be an issue.

The best thing I heard from one of the fans was Maidens publicly stated in an article that he believes he can return to be the same player he once was which would be huge!!!

Lastly at the Owen Sound Attack end of the year awards Maidens dad said Jarrod is ready in desperation to play again in the OHL.

In closing this is huge news!!! If Jarrod can live up to his expectations as a pure offensive scoring forward. He could go a long way to being one of the biggest steals of last years draft and more importantly give the Senators two 1st round picks. Some thought Maidens could be a mid to late 1st round pick! The fact we snatched him up in the 3rd round could go a long way in the future if he can stay healthy.

Let's hope for the best. I cannot wait until he puts his skates back on and plays again

Rather than hope he pans out as a prospect, lets hope that he can get his game back, and keep from getting clocked.

He hasn't been able to return since before Christmas in 2011 due to his concussion. He hasn't gotten traded or anything, he just hasn't been able to play.

Any precedents for a guy getting a serious injury this young in his career and coming back strong? Just curious how long it would take a player missing that much time to return to his pre-injury self (if ever).
