I see Edmonton taking a defenceman (finally) this draft, so I'd swap Buffalo and Edmonton (BUF-Monahan, EDM-Nurse).

I also see Vancouver trading down for 2 2nds if we're going to pick Dauphin, who will be there in the 2nd.

I don't think Edmonton will take a d-man because they aren't lacking d prospects.
Their D Depth - Chart:
Oscar Klefbom (Top Talent)
Martin Marincin (I've got high hopes)
Brandon Davidson
Martin Gernat
David Musil

Not amazing, unless you compare it to their center depth chart:

Anton Lander
Mark Arcobello
Tyler Pitlick (Who plays wing now I think?)
Ryan Martindale
Travis Ewanyk

Lander is the best center prospect... :help:

Edmonton obviously needs D-men, but they need NHL - ready players, not prospects.

As for Vancouver, I didn't take into consideration trades, so it could happen. I like Dauphin's potential, think he could sneak into the first.

Good 1st round for Dallas, meh 2nd round.

I really like Dallas' defence prospect group, good depth, so I felt Compher and Bailey were good selections in the 2nd.

Fair enough for Edmonton.

As for Vancouver, if we're really going to pick #24 and that's all that's left, I'd rather go all the way and gamble on Petan.

why on earth would Columbus draft a goalie in the first round? After their D corps Goal is a strength.

Bobrovsky (will be signed)
McElhinny
Dansk
Forsberg
Korpisalo
York
Ouellette

and will most likely add a vet via FA

Looks pretty good for Montreal. Would have looked even better if Justin Bailey dropped one more spot for Montreal, but, overall, nice job.

Well in my draft they take Wennberg first, and then Pulock. At 27, I think Columbus gladly adds a potentially elite goalie who would top their goalie prospect list. They definitely have decent goalie prospects but I think Fucale is BPA and worth the risk when you have three picks in the first.

Not as thin as our forward pool is.

I would prefer Erne over Zykov at 16, Lehkonen is good at 38 but Theodore and Nastasiuk would be tempting and I would take the local kid Bailey at 52. All and all it's a good draft.
