I'll start. I've taken role/expectations into effect.

Forwards:

Brock Boeser- A
Leads the team in points and goals. His shot is the best it has looked since his rookie season.

Nils Hoglander- B+
Creates something everyshift, and a puck hound. He is a more skilled honey badger. Would be an A with a bit better production, but overall a really good start to his career.

Jay Beagle- B/B-
Has been solid as a 4th line center this year.

Tanner Pearson- C+
Hasn't been good or bad. Has been what he has been his whole career, a decent middle 6 forward.

Zack MacEwan- C+
Has looked good on the 4th line in the limited minutes he has played

Tyler Motte- C
Had a good start to the year, but hasn't been as effective since. He needs to be rested occasionally, to be effective.

JT Miller- C
Has had good production, but some very lazy defensive play once the team started losing.

Antoine Roussel- C/C-
Hasn't been the same player since his knee injury, but has been pretty good defensively.

Elias Pettersson- C-
A very bad start to the season at both ends of the rink. His production has picked up the last 10-15 games or so. The lotto line has been better defensively in the last 5 games. We have only seen glimpses of the player that he was last year that was 3rd in the league in WAR.

Bo Horvat- C-
Has 5 points in his last 13 games. His 2way play has been trending downward the last 2 seasons. We need a 3C, so Bo doesn't have to take the tough matchups.

Jake Virtanen C-/D
Has 1 point this year. He gets a slight better grade than Sutter and Gaudette, because he hasn't been a liability defensively.

Sutter- D
Has 2 points other than the Ottawa hat trick. Has been one of our worst defensive bottom 6ers. Should not be garunteed a spot in the line up.

Adam Gaudette- D
He needs to be putting up points to be useful, and he isn't putting up points. He has had games where he has had good chances, but isn't finishing like he did last year. He has 2 points in his last 27 games including the playoffs last year. He will need to start producing again if he wants to stay in the NHL.

Defence:

Quinn Hughes- B+/B
Leads defencemen in points, but has been absolutely terrible in his own end. He is really missing Tanev. He would get an A if his defencive play was just below average.

Nate Schmidt- B
He has been our best defensive defencemen. He can get to an A with more production.

Tyler Myers- B-
After a rough start, he has been much better the last 10-15 games.

Alex Edler- C+/C
He has definately regressed, but has been much better when paired with Schmidt.

Olli Juolevi C+/C
Has looked like an NHL since getting back in the lineup. His skating/pivoting needs improvement, but he keeps getting better/more confident with each game.

Jordie Benn- C
He shouldn't be more than a bottom pairing D. We need a better partner for Hughes.

Goaltending:

Demko- C
Holtby- C-

Our team defence was atrocious this season which has made the goaltending look worse than it is. However, it has still been below average.

I'll start. I've taken role/expectations into effect. Based on expectations so our star players with C- or worse is a way bigger deal than our 4C getting a B or A

Forwards:

Brock Boeser- A
Leads the team in points and goals. His shot is the best it has looked since his rookie season. Great hockey sense, passing better, stick handling, his best season so far. Brock Boeser

Nils Hoglander- A
Creates something everyshift, and a puck hound. He is a more skilled honey badger. Such a Hog too.

Tyler Motte- B
Excellent energy but needs to play more games

Jay Beagle- B-
Has been solid as a 4th line center this year.

Tanner Pearson- C+
His most Tanner Pearson season ever. Exactly as expected. Floater, disappears, good defensively, occasionally flashes of dominance but always short lived

Zack MacEwan- C+
Needs more minutes but liked What Ive seen so far

Adam Gaudette- C+
Playing better the last few games but still has no finish. Not sure whatll take with this guy cause the effort and creativity seems there but cant Finnish to save Helsinki

Elias Pettersson- C-
I love PBP but wonder what is up. When he wants can dominate but crazy inconsistant. No crazy leg braking this year, no one timer, whats going on Elite Pete?

Bo Horvat- C-
Bo is i always found inconsistant. This year no exception accept maybe his cold streak right now is longer than normal. Coach Green not getting thru to Bobo

JT Miller- C-
Great start to the season but has since fallen off a cliff. Body language says it all, doesnt give a f*** and doesnt try

Antoine Roussel- D
Unfortunately that injury broke him. Thought after the LONG time off would be better but sucks the same ass as last year

Jake Virtanen D-
Yikes

Sutter- D-
Cant wait til off the team. f*** you Brandon and your foundational non Goldobinly balls

Defence:

Quinn Hughes- B
Not gonna complain about his offense but his d needs work tho i must recognize is slightly better the last 5 or so games tho still has warts

Nate Schmidt- B
Finding his groove, tho his eyes are really big

Alex Edler- B
Stable backend guy who passes well and clears the front of the net with underrated violence. Tho is getting slower

Olli Juolevi C+
Getting better. Still a #6 but clearly showing that has the talent to be much more tho we havent seen it yet

Tyler Myers- C
Like many guys has had SOME improvement the last few games. We are hard on him cause never should have been managements target and the price is way too much but has played better lately

Jordie Benn- C-
Hopefully we get a pick out of him

Goaltending:

Demko- B-
Holtby- B-

Our team defence was atrocious this season which has made the goaltending look worse than it is. However, it

Motte, Boeser Hoglander and Demko have been our best players. Demko just a victim of a bad system at the moment. Legit number 1 starter in my books, Boeser has "done his job and more" with struggling line mates, been playing well since game 1, to game 21, Hoglander also, and that's pretty much it. If your best players are not your best players, team will struggle and it shows, we are 4 points behind the final playoff spot, but teams have 4 games hand we are in for a shit show.

Brock Boeser- A
Awesome

Nils Hoglander- A-
Done well for a rookie. You can see the immaturity in his game and his bad shot but you can't expect more than what he's given.

Jay Beagle- B
He's been legitimately good this season.

Tanner Pearson- C+
Just a typical middle six passenger. Still think he's a 3rd liner on a good team.

Zack MacEwan- C+
Play him more.

Tyler Motte- C+
He was bad to start the season and cost us but then went on a little scoring streak.

JT Miller- C-
Lazy motherf***er needs to get over himself

Antoine Roussel- D
Not an NHL player anymore. Never would have guessed this contract being worse than Beagle's but this is what injuries do.

Elias Pettersson- B
He's been better the last 10 or so games.

Bo Horvat- B
Giving you second line production. Needs to do better at ES providing for his team. You'd think getting him an energy guy like Hoglander who he can play off of would help, but it hasn't.

Jake Virtanen F
Play better and get your brother to stop crying about criticism on twitter

Sutter- D+
Get a primary assist once every 10 games scrub

Adam Gaudette- D
Better the last few games but it's getting close to him not being an NHL player. He's like 25 now? I think?

Loui Eriksson- D+
literally getting every single d zone start but he's not really doing that well anyways. just looks fkn slow as balls

Justin Bailey- B+

PLAY HIM MORE WHEN HE'S HEALTHY AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!

Defence:

Quinn Hughes - C-
Whatever he contributes offensively, we give up more defensively with him. Needs to figure out how to hold his head above water. Been an issue since midway of last season. Points are cool, but I'd rather score more than concede. That isn't what happens with QH.

Nate Schmidt- B+
Best defenseman.

Tyler Myers- B-
Still providing 4.5 value.

Alex Edler- B
The speed is becoming more apparent as years go by but he's still been ok.

Olli Juolevi C
Sheltered and struggles.

Jordie Benn- C
Done what you'd expect.

Travis Hamonic - D
No training camp but the struggles continued a bit longer than they should have. If he can't get into the lineup above a guy who lost his job to f***ing Fantenberg, that's sad.

Jalen Chatfield - D
Sucks donkey

Goaltending:

Demko- C
Holtby- C-

Yep.

So far, relative to role/salary/expectations :

Brock Boeser - A. Has been the team's most consistent player.

Nils Hoglander - A-. At times has been more flash than results but has far exceeded expectations and been one of the only guys consistently providing jump.

Tyler Motte - A-. 5 goals in 15 games before getting hurt. Much improved at ES, carried over his strong postseason play.

Bo Horvat - B. Started well, then had a horrible road trip, has been better the past few games.

Jay Beagle - C+. Has been much better this year. If he was getting $1.5 million this would be a B+ but as a $3 million player you're judged against that benchmark.

Zack Macewen - C+. Nothing wrong with his play, unfairly benched.

Elias Pettersson - C. Has been a bit unlucky with posts but is massively underachieving.

JT Miller - C. See Pettersson. Has been good on the PP and overall productive but prone to very lazy/selfish play.

Tanner Pearson - C. Decent 3rd liner playing 2nd line minutes.

Brandon Sutter - C-. Did solidify the team a bit offensively after moving to C to replace Gaudette, but has been putrid offensively outside of the hat trick game.

Adam Gaudette - C-. Part of this is on him, part of it is stupid usage from the coaching staff.

Antoine Roussel - D. Most invisible energy line player ever. Go away.

Jake Virtanen - F. Looks lost.

Loui Eriksson - F. Why?

Quinn Hughes - B. Hard player to grade. Scoring at a 75 point pace but his ES performance has been disappointing.

Nate Schmidt - B-. Has been less dynamic than expected but quietly chewing through tough minutes well. More to give.

Tyler Myers - B-. I don't like this player at all generally, but he's held the right side blueline together and produced offensively.

Alex Edler - C+. Still useful but has lost a step in his play this year.

Olli Juolevi - C. I don't think he's been great, but not getting killed is far better than expected.

Jordie Benn - C-. He sucks

Jalen Chatfield - D. Simply not capable of playing the minutes he was given.

Travis Hamonic - INC. Didn't look good before getting hurt early.

Thatcher Demko - C. Has been a bit better recently but not amazing.

Brayden Holtby - D. Simply not good enough.

A
Hoglander - good almost every game
Boeser - most productive player. Best of are so-called upper level players

B
Motte - best of the bottom 6ers. Great on the PK
Hughes -deserves A for his offensive game but defensive struggles reduce grade

C+
Pearson - pretty solid in the great majority of games
Schmidt - played better of late but did contribute to the turnover pandemic the team has suffered through for a lot of the season.
Beagle - skated better and has played his role and done the job expected for most of the season.

C
Pettersson - in terms of expectations could be lower. Done enough to at least get a passing grade
Miller - lots of good and lots of bad. Averages out to mediocre
McEwen - doesn't have the trust of the coach but makes the effort every time he is tried. Too many missed defensive assignment to get more than this
Edler - good game, decent game, poor game, etc. Is what he is at this point.
Myers - at times he has been God awful and at other times effective. This can change from period to period or even from shift to shift.
Sutter - has sprinkled in a few good outings but lots of the time baggage
Demko - inconsistent. Mechanics don't look right good bit of the time. Still has much to prove.
Holtby - ditto Demko although he looks mechanically better. Given up too many bad goals which a team like the Canucks can't overcome.
Horvat - good start but quickly faded and became both a offensive and defensive liability for much of the season. Could see the grade being lower. Never seems to score 5 on 5.

C-
Joulevi - keeping his nose above water but still very much finding his way. From his play can't expect much more than he doesn't make a bad error.
Eriksson - when he has played has contributed to better puck management. Incomplete might be best assessment

D
Gaudette - career could be jeopardy. Just can't beat anyone one on one and is too easily eliminated from the play. Defensively lost most of the time. Not meeting any kind of NHL standard
Benn - too slow to compete on a sustained basis in the present NHL game. When he is bad he is very bad.
Roussel - lots of hustle but never leads to much. Years of hard tough work in the trenches have taken their toll and make his play very marginal
Hamonic - vacillated between not that good to dreadful in the games he was in.

F
Virtanen - disaster. Among the worst players in the League. Team totally bombed in term of drafting and developing Jake and the results are in. Big old "F"
Chatfield - got absolutely exposed as time went on. . Criminally over-rated by the team

How has Demko played well? Being better than Holtby doesn’t mean he is having a good season. He has definitely been below average
