I think this is just bias because we focus mostly on the Isles. We haven't been in the top half of the league in man games lost to injury for a while now. We were 16th last year. Even when you weight by cap hip and salary, we weren't even in the top half of the league last year.
That may be true but we had the injuries that we couldn't afford last season. Nabakov and Visnovsky were not able to be replaced as both the D and the Goaltending depth were surprisingly ignored a year ago.
But that happening obviously taught mgmt a lesson and they seriously addressed those needs for this season. So maybe it was a good thing, getting Dal Colle and all the new acquisitions. The Isles weren't going far last season, even if healthy.
With the current depth, if we are in the middle of the pack with injuries again, we should be ok.
