I remember them being $5.85. Those were messy days.
There was always enough change between friends to get one more pitcher.

They also had that birthday prize wheel. Oh my.

PS - is the same carpet still there?

It was probably closer to 7 or 8 bucks. I don't remember the prices well as all my memories of the Pemby are hazy from drinking cheap pitchers.

Went there once not long after it opened. They seem to struggle with the concept of being a craft beer pub, that being that people are there to try a bunch of different beers. They didn't have offer any samplers. Every other craft pub or brew pub I've been to in my life offers this, I'm not going to pay for a pint to test a beer that I might find completely undrinkable. If you offer sample packages where I can order samples of 5 beers for $10, $12 whatever, and see what I like, I'm in.
Food was not that great, but that's kind of par for the course for craft/brew pubs. It's the odd one that has great food.

Could be better now.

Samplers are available for a pretty easy price. Not a sports bar but games are on. Decent selection of brews if that is your thing. Food quality is improving. Owners are the same group that own Hermano's/360/Carnival. Big Jets fans and supporters.:yo:

I love my basement. Over 100" 1080p projector. Booze and food are cheap. lol

I second that. Nothing better than watching the Jets on my 110" screen with a basement bar, surround sound and "free" beer. And no need for a cab.

Before I got my theatre I liked Hat Trick, 4 Play, and Smittys on the West end of Pembina.

You liked 4 Play? Although a MAMMOTH screen, they would kill the power to their projector without letting it cool off daily. After their first month of operation the entire next 2 years was spent with the entire centre image being green. Barely watchable for football, let alone watching hockey with green ice. Changing bulbs didn't help. Utterly destroyed a $25,000.00+ projector. It's no wonder they closed. That projector should have been their bread & butter.

Located directly across the street, the Met offers a massive upgrade to anyone wanting a big screen experience. No cool chairs like 4 PLay, but sitting on the second level allows you to be centre to the screen, in itself an improvement to the 4 Play setup.

Lots of hate for Shark Club around here. The food and service have been great the 8 or 9 times I have been there. Also don't mind supporting the Jets as a consumer in any way I can (yes the Jets don't own the place by Chipman does and making money on bars / real estate / etc... in the area is part of the business plan).

TNSE get revenue off the casino as per their agreement with the government and they are also investors in the Shark club business so yes they benefit from the place being busier.

Yeah I liked 4 Play. But I did just move here in 2012, living downtown and not knowing anywhere else to go. It was the biggest screen (which was horrible quality), great seating and wasn't busy (which I found strange but I understand now. There was at most 5-8 people there for the NJ-LA Stanley Cup Finals). And it was always warm in there no matter the season. But once I found my way around the city, I found places with better atmosphere.

As for Shark Club, I have only been there once but I enjoyed it. The wings were good, the service was great, and the crowd was exciting. Sitting on the top deck overlooking the large screen was the best. The only downside is that as soon as the game was over, they removed a lot of seating to change it into a Club.

Luxalune is fun because of all of the beer choices. They do Beer Flights with samples, but it is the bartenders choice of which ones. The food is also good, but I've only been there 2 times this year.

re the Sharks Club...they need to remove the cover charge.

Helps keep out the low lifes and it's only late Fridayd and Saturday nights after sports are over and it turns into a bar. Trust me it's a good thing lol

And yes supporting shark club helps TNSE!
