No, he got to the NHL cause he has been working with our goalie coach Dustin Schwartz since he was in junior and the org gives Schwartz control of goalie shit.
Woodcrap and Schwartz both love Skinner all to death. The 5 pulls by the way is an alltime NHL record within two consecutive playoffs. No other starter has been pulled that many times and still starting games. Its never happened before. Skinner tied the record last season. Of course our media don't report on this. Somebody might lift it though.

Let's break this down. It wasn't our defense. We only lost by a goal. We outshot our opponent by 27, which is more shots than most teams get in a single game. And one goalie played significantly worse than the opposing goalie. Hmmmmmm.......
Sounds like Skinner needed to make more saves and/or we needed to finish more chances.

can't believe how many Oiler fans Skinner fooled all year long, especially during that win streak. the guy was the beneficiary of a statistically top three defense in the league over that timespan playing against bottom feeders night every night. nothing in his play has ever suggested that he's a changed goaltender. his tracking, awareness and movement have been just as bad as ever. this guy is a disaster.
I did say we should go hard after Saros and should be willing to move 2 first rounders for him. Instead we got 2 guys who aren't even playing in this series with one of those 1st rounders.

Hopefully the next GM has a brain and goes out and gets us an above average to elite goalie this summer.

You simply cannot rely on two players to win you a championship. It hasn’t worked in eight years why would now be any different? Nikita Zadorov has more goals than 3/4 of our forwards.

That would be true if we were losing every game 1-0. But the offence is there… take away all skinners shit goals against and we would win these games. It’s not like the well has dried up. We’re scoring, but not at a pace that can outmatch our goaltending. If you think offense is our problem then idk what to tell you.

For every 5 goals we score they score 6.

I'll ask someone smarter than me and better at scraping stats off the internet but Skinner had great stats generally with Knoblauch.

Can someone breakdown Skinner's numbers with Knoblauch when the McDavid line and Ek-Bouch aren't on?

Because you had Ek-Bouch playing elites at like 60%+ GF which is absolute insanity.

So when McDavid is on with Ek-Bouch, they are essentially playing at 5v5 better than someone NHL teams PP.

Just curious how that changes for Skinner without that 5 player set.

Playing from behind is too hard, and the Canucks know if they play hard early and get a soft goal or two on our sieve they can begin to sit back, get pucks deep, and make us shoot pot shots from the blueline.

why is Bouchard that high up on your list of Oiler problems?
Canucks have a much deeper team.

The Oilers have the much better stars.

If Bouchard can level up the Oilers will win.

If Bouchard can't level up, the Oilers will lose.

If the Oilers lose Bouchard shouldn't get paid like an elite player.

Plain and simple.

People actually think that the reason we’re losing these games is because we don’t have depth scoring?

If you eliminate every softie skinners given up, we would win every game.

No I don’t think the oilers would be 7-0 these playoffs with Pickard or Campbell

Many of us were screaming to put Pickard in when it was 3-1.

That might have been a big game changer... teams often get a boost from a goalie change and they bear down and push harder.

Waiting likely put that game out of reach and caused the L.

Many of us have been screaming to punt this clown for over a year.

Two guys are essentially doing all the scoring. If Ryan Smyth and Shawn Horcoff were the only guys scoring in 06 that team gets dumped in the first round.

McLeod - Draisaitl- Kane
Henrique - Nuge - Foegele
