Great. Wouldn't have minded taking him back, but I bet his demands were too rich.

A 5th is an awesome return.

Would've been ok with him returning but i guess he wanted too much money or a NMC . With expansion draft next year NMC is not gonna happen for a guy like Goligoski . At least not here.

This made my day! I'm really happy that we can now find a better, bigger fit for Klingberg.

Great stuff!:yo:

Good news is we are already 8 years into finding that bigger, better fit. Shouldn't take more than another decade.

Great to get a useable asset here. I'm excited to see what Nill does to bring in a top pairing guy. As everyone knows I wasn't a fan of Goligoski in his role at the cost he'd have asked.

Theoretically he could still return if other teams don't offer the terms he wants either . I mean its unlikely and i certainly can't see it happening but hey it could happen . Basically got a 5th rounder for free since we weren't going to sign him before he becomes UFA anymore.

One way or another I'm pretty confident Nill will sign a new Dman or make a trade. I don't think Demers gets resigned before FA, and unless Russell is cheap I hope it's not him. Most likely Jo Benn

Lol. I'll give you that one Mr. Misty.

The good news is that we've never had more assets in the system and the cap space at our disposal to get that top pairing D.

It will be no easy feat and it won't be cheap. That's for sure. I also think that just about any other left shot top pairing D would be a better fit than Goligoski for Klingberg. Maybe not even better than GoGo, but rather a better compliment to Klinger's game.
