i'm canadian and without seeing a replay yet, i'm convinced that the play leading to the penalty was offside.

Nhl refs used to be not as picky with the offside rule. Dont know if that is still the case. Is it NA refs in this game?

One of the problems that has plagued him his whole career is that he comes off as unlikeable and phony. Showing him watching the game like an average joe is a way of breaking that down a bit, except whenever they do that, it just makes him look even less "average joe."
