Dumb question: Offense is up. Save percentage seems to be down. Then I look at the Goals Save Above Expected from moneypuck.com here: MP GSAE mimimum 25 games all sitchys and I only see a few average to below average goalies, and the rest are posting positive GSAE.

My first thought is that offensive chances are up big-time and goalies are actually somewhat keeping up with them, but I'm clearly overlooking stuff - what factors am I not considering?

Thanks, I'll hang up and listen.

Is it really a 25 game minimum threshold? That's a pretty high bar at this point in the season (and all else equal, you'd expect only the best goalies to meet that bar).
