Yes. He's stopped before the shove. He's there, but is he preventing Swayman from moving? Nah. Once he gets hit in the back and is on top of Swayman is when that happens.
Doesn't get anymore clear than this.

Stopped as in he's not moving, sure. The human body is a marvelous thing though. It has this whole upper half that operates independently of the legsYes. He's stopped before the shove.
Looks like one foot in, one foot out but he was stopping. Makes it even more murky in my opinion. My gif above shows he was in the crease and going there willingly.
And his player is in his way. There's no getting to a puck Coyle's leg /skate is blocking a puck that is along the ice. Coyle put himself there. There's no saving a puck he can't get to from the start.Stopped as in he's not moving, sure. The human body is a marvelous thing though. I guess there’s no way to know, since Swayman wasn’t allowed to make an attemptAnd his player is in his way. There's no getting to a puck Coyle's leg /skate is blocking a puck that is along the ice. Coyle put himself there. There's no saving a puck he can't get to from the start.
That wasn't afforded due to Coyle himself. Don't go into the crease.I guess there’s no way to know, since Swayman wasn’t allowed to make an attempt
Coyle was stopped; his left leg is out to dig into the ice, and his momentum after that is because of the push. He is very responsible in his own end and would not carelessly drift into the goalie for no no reason, as you assume here. It does not get more simple than this, he has no reason to go forward. That would be stupid, anyone who has laced up the skates knows this.Yes. He's stopped before the shove.

He stopped himself in the crease at the point of the puck deflecting off his pad whereas to keep Swayman's progress to a stop before any other factors come into play. His left skate/leg stopped Swayman before anything else transpires.Coyle was stopped; his left leg is out to dig into the ice, and his momentum after that is because of the push. Still irrelevant unless you believe Coyle was also going to fall into his goalie completely on his own simply because he was “in the blue paint” and “in his way to start”.Coyle was already in his way to start, so I don't know how a nudge was going to change anything. Coyle was in the blue paint and in the way without the push. His left leg/skate.
Coyle was already there, the shove is basically at the point of the puck arriving.
lol so perfect. The goalie had even less of a chance at stopping that than Swayman had, if people are still tryna use that argument.no goal here. same exact play
He literally plays the puck at the point of Coyle stopping his skate. Did he not just play the puck?Still irrelevant unless you believe Coyle was also going to fall into his goalie completely on his own simply because he was “in the blue paint” and “in his way to start”.
Like damn people, ignore the goal or the puck being there entirely — it’s still a goaltender interference penalty. You guys are completely missing the point.
This one was 100% shoved in hard, where Coyle lost his balance being on top of Swayman.lol so perfect. The goalie had even less of a chance at stopping that than Swayman had, if people are still tryna use that argument.
howd he lose his balance? This one was 100% shoved in hard, where Coyle lost his balance being on top of Swayman.
Your vid sucks man, you cannot even pause it. I found one where you can and Coyle's left leg does not even make contact with the puck or Swayman. Coyle's body goes into him, because he was stopping away from Swayman. You can actually see the skate blade digging in and showering snow from the stop, till he got shoved from behind That stopped Swaymans attempt to make a push over or anything in that regard. The more I watch it the more it looks really bad. It does not matter if he could save it or not, he was not given the chance. NHL blew this one huge.He stopped himself in the crease at the point of the puck deflecting off his pad whereas to keep Swayman's progress to a stop before any other factors come into play. Coyle was hit in the back. I don’t think he falls forward otherwiseThis one was 100% shoved in hard, where Coyle lost his balance being on top of Swayman.
A light shove. He was already there on top of him.howd he lose his balance?
I think this is what the officials thought, that Bennett's contact was light enough that it wasn't really the reason the defenseman impeded Swayman. I'm not sure I buy it but I think that's their reasoning. I gave up on understanding how they would rule on goalie interference long ago.
doesnt matter. as seen in the vid posted of Maroons no goal, the defending player was already on top of ingram as well.A light shove. He was already there on top of him.
That's because it's a gif.Your vid sucks man, you cannot even pause it. I found one where you can and Coyle's left leg does not even make contact with the puck or Swayman. Coyle's body goes into him, because he was stopping and angled away from Swayman. Coyle was only in the way because of the shove/cross check. You can see his left skate make the turn to stop and dig in. When someone pushes you from behind, you will go forward; that is what happened. That's because it's a gif.
The point is the shove didn't stop him, Coyle just being there did.
