The past two games the Canucks have charged out of the gate with a high-octane start, but the energy level slowly starts to fade.

Against Chicago they were able to get up early; but fired blanks against the Blues and ended up in a 0-2 and 1-3 hole. That speaks to me of a team that's simply tired. They need a rest and break.

Hopefully the Blue Jackets are in the same boat at the end of a tortuous Western road swing. And they have the double whammy of knowing that barring some sort of miracle run, their season is basically over.

Once again the Canucks need to come out flying, and hopefully discourage them with some early goals in the first period. Because the next 40 minutes are sure to be a grind.

I just really want them to finally lose a game so the media can shut up about how they're now the best team in Canada and "omg guys, they're gonna win the cup!!" Yes, yes. It's an incredible winning streak... beating up the likes of San Jose, Chicago, Calgary and Montreal.

What? That was their excuse when we were blasting "easy" teams out of the water.
