[fieldset=""]
Salary Cap

  • USE THE CAPGEEK ARCHIVE FOR ALL NUMBERS.
  • The salary cap maximum from the trade deadline to the entry draft is $69M.
  • There will be no salary cap minimum from the trade deadline to the entry draft.
  • Full cap hits will be moved in trades.
  • For salary retention, multiply a player's cap hit by .(%). ex. $5M w/ 25% retained = $5M x .25 = $1.25M.
  • An injured player that is expected to return by the actual NHL trade deadline may be used on your roster.
  • Teams may have a roster of no more than 23 players at the trade deadline.
  • Teams may have as many players on their playoff roster as they wish.
  • The salary cap maximum for the 2015-2016 season is $73M.
  • The salary cap minimum for the 2015-2016 season is $55M.
  • Teams may exceed the cap maximum by 10% during the offseason.
  • Teams must comply with the salary cap by the end of the game.
  • Teams may have a roster of no more than 23 players by the end of the game.
  • Teams may sign their draft picks to contracts using the ENTRY LEVEL CONTRACT CHART.
[/fieldset]

[fieldset=""]Waivers/Buyouts
  • Post in this thread if you’d like to place a player on waivers.
  • Burying a player in the minors or Europe only eliminates a maximum of $900k of their cap hit.
  • A player will be on waivers for 24 hours.
  • Waiver priority will be based on the current NHL standings.
  • If a team claims a player off of waivers, they then have the lowest waiver priority.
  • Teams are permitted to use a maximum of TWO ordinary buyouts.
[/fieldset]

[fieldset=""]Trades
  • All trades must be sent to IslesRock4 and RR or else they are not valid.
  • Once a trade is agreed upon, send it in BEFORE POSTING, and then you can announce it in the thread. A deal without a NTC or NMC does not have to be approved.
  • If a trade is announced prior to it being sent in, it will be vetoed.
  • ALL MOVES MUST BE SOMEWHAT REALISTIC. The commissioners hold the power to veto any ridiculous trades.
  • A trade involving a NTC or NMC must be sent in by BOTH GMs with a reasoning for the player(s) to waive. The trade must be approved by BOTH trade managers prior to posting. Keep in mind that not all NTCs or NMCs will be waived.
  • The commissioners will provide an 8-team no-trade list for players with a "modified NTC/NMC" on capgeek upon request.
  • If a trade involving a NTC or NMC is announced before approval, it will be vetoed.
  • If a team does not have enough cap space to complete a trade that has been sent in, the trade will be vetoed.
  • Vetoed deals must be significantly altered in order for them to be accepted.
  • If a player waives his NTC or NMC, the NTC or NMC will still be valid with their new team.

Essentially, I want to take prospects and picks such as BOS 1st, Subban, Spooner, Koko, Griffith, Cehlarik, Camara, Morrow, and all other prospects and picks and make upgrades on the bolded below.

Milan Lucic ($6.000m) - David Krejci ($5.250m) - David Pastrnak ($0.925)
Brad Marchand ($4.500m) - Patrice Bergeron ($6.500m) - Reilly Smith ($1.400m)
Chris Kelly ($3.000m) - Yeti Soderberg ($1.008m) - Loui Eriksson ($4.250m)
Daniel Paille ($1.300m) - Gregory Campbell ($1.600m) - Jordan Caron ($0.600m)

Zdeno Chara ($6.917m) - Dougie Hamilton ($1.494m)
Dennis Seidenberg ($4.000m) - Adam McQuaid ($1.567m)
Torey Krug ($1.400m) - Matt Bartkowski ($1.250m)

Tuuka Rask ($7.000m)
Niklas Svedberg ($0.600m)

- Not looking to move the core. Tales of our demise have been greatly exaggerated.
- Will be attempting to re-sign Soderberg since the elusive Yeti has found comfort in Boston.

The Sharks will likely stay pat or make some minor improvements but are willing to move Marleau and Joe Thornton. We are looking to get younger players for them.

Trading Block

Patrick Marleau
Antti Niemi-Looking for a upgrade
Adam Burish- Willing to take on another bad contract in a deal.
Tyler Kennedy
Joe Thornton
Matt Irwin
James Sheppard
Tye McGinn

As an aside, we've already received one solid offer for JVR that has us intrigued... so get your offers in.

Price point for JVR and Kessel is no fewer than 3 assets in total, made up of any combination of young players, solid prospects, and 1st round picks.

A few teams showing interest in Curtis Glencross and Dennis Wideman. Asking price is 2nd + prospect or some variation similar to that.

Karri Ramo has also garnered some interest. Looking to get the highest possible pick in return. Would also consider moving Jonas Hiller if the interest is there.

Mikael Backlund/Sven Baerstchi/Markus Granlund could all be moved in a deal for a similarly valued defenseman.

Mark Giordano is not being shopped but I am listening to offers for the Norris trophy favorite. Won't come cheap though.

Having seen the team falter as the season has progressed, we are considering moving major assets at the trade deadline in order to kickstart a youth movement in Vancouver. We will NOT be making moves to improve the team for this playoff run alone, all moves will happen with an eye on the future seasons. That's not to say we will not trade youth/picks for youth/picks if the deal is right. We are seeking a young core blueliner for this team moving forward, as well as a Top 6 RW or C.

On the Block:

Alex Burrows - Garnering the most attention thus far from East Coast Cup contenders mainly.
Eddie Lack
Zack Kassian
Chris Higgins
Shawn Matthias
Kevin Bieksa
Brad Richardson

Looking to shake up our defensive core a little bit and bring in a top 4 youngish defender / high end defensive prospects. Up front, we'd like to acquire a high end top 6 winger. Most of our prospects are available to do so as well as the following. Note that nothing is specific and I'll readily listen to essentially any idea proposed. The Jackets are unlikely to make the playoffs this year so we'll be building towards next season. Our 2015 1st will not be moved.

Available:

James Wisniewski
Fedor Tyutin
Jack Johnson
Artem Anisimov
Cam Atkinson
Scott Hartnell

Will move for cheap:

Tropp
Boll
Gibbons
Collins
Leopold

The Jackets also assign Alexander Wennberg to the Springfield Falcons.

Interested in retooling, so Jagr & Elias are both available to a playoff team for the right price. First things first we're interested in a future #1C. We're not going to move our 2015 1st nor are we even going to touch a proposal for Larsson. When contacting please value our needs & wants.

New Jersey assigns Tim Sestito to the minors.

I'd like for everyone to keep in mind everyone above 25's available.

:habs TRADE BLOCK

ON THE TRADE BLOCK FOR A TOP 6 RW (NOT A RENTAL) :
Jarred Tinordi
2015 1st round pick
Zachary Fucale
Other prospects (except Scherbak, DLR and McCarron)
Other picks

ALSO ON THE TRADE BLOCK :
David Desharnais (for a winger or futures)
Bryan Allen

COULD BE AVAILAIBLE :`
Alexei Emelin *NTC
PA Parenteau
Tom Gilbert

UNTOUCHABLES :
Carey Price
PK Subban
Alex Galchenyuk
Max Pacioretty

Our main goal is to acquire a top 6 RW who can play on the top line and who is not a rental. We could also consider adding a top 4 defenseman but it will not be a priority.

Keep in mind that we have very little cap space considering that we are using full salaries so we will likely have to dump a contract in all the trades we'll make (unless we get rid of some salary before).

Interest in Dan Hamhuis and Alex Edler is big. It's more than likely we re-evaluate in off-season due to a weak free agent pool, but if the offer is right, we will consider a trade deadline deal. PM if interested.

Have had some good discussions. R. Ellis, M. Ekholm, S. Jones, C. Wilson, C. Smith are my big roster names in play. All prospects and picks are available. Looking for top 6 help (especially at center) and a top 4 LHD.

Would also love to move one of Jokinen/Cullen/Volchenkov (UFAs), and one of Nystrom/Spaling/Gaustad. All would come cheap.

We are doing some form of rebuild. No one is completely untouchable, but unlikely to move our first, Nurse, RNH, or Draisaitl.

Listening to offers on:
Taylor Hall
Jordan Eberle

Actively shopping:
Teddy Purcell
Derek Roy
Jeff Petry
Viktor Fasth
Nikita Nikitin

I will listen to offers for everyone else, however, young players will cost more.

Looking for picks and prospects, young centers and defensemen.
