Game Schedule

  • Semifinal Voting: Tuesday 2/23 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM
  • Conference Final Voting: Tuesday 2/23 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
  • Stanley Cup Final Voting: Tuesday 2/23 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM
  • Entry Draft: Wednesday 2/24, Time TBA
  • Free Agency Begins: Thursday 2/25, Time TBA

Salary Cap
  • CAPFRIENDLY, HOCKEY'S CAP, OR GENERAL FANAGER IS RECOMMENDED FOR ALL CAP INFO.
  • The salary cap maximum from the trade deadline to the entry draft is $71.4M.
  • There will be no salary cap minimum from the trade deadline to the entry draft.
  • Full cap hits will be moved in trades.
  • For salary retention, multiply a player's cap hit by .(%). ex. $5M w/ 25% retained = $5M x .25 = $1.25M.
  • An injured player that is expected to return by the actual NHL trade deadline may be used on your roster.
  • Teams may have a roster of no more than 23 players at the trade deadline.
  • Teams may have as many players on their playoff roster as they wish.
  • The salary cap maximum for the 2016-2017 season will be $73M.
  • The salary cap minimum for the 2016-2017 season will be $55M.
  • Teams may exceed the cap maximum by 10% during the offseason.
  • Teams must comply with the salary cap by the end of the game.
  • Teams may have a roster of no more than 23 players by the end of the game.
  • Teams may sign their draft picks to contracts using the ENTRY LEVEL CONTRACT CHART.

[fieldset=""]Waivers/Buyouts
  • Post in this thread if you’d like to place a player on waivers.
  • Burying a player in the minors or Europe only eliminates a maximum of $900k of their cap hit.
  • A player will be on waivers for 24 hours.
  • Waiver priority will be based on the current NHL standings.
  • If a team claims a player off of waivers, they then have the lowest waiver priority.
  • Teams are permitted to use a maximum of TWO ordinary buyouts.

[fieldset=""]Trades
  • All trades must be sent to IslesRock4 and RR or else they are not valid.
  • Once a trade is agreed upon, send it in BEFORE POSTING, and then you can announce it in the thread. A deal without a NTC or NMC does not have to be approved.
  • If a trade is announced prior to it being sent in, it will be vetoed.
  • ALL MOVES MUST BE SOMEWHAT REALISTIC. The commissioners hold the power to veto any ridiculous trades.
  • A trade involving a NTC or NMC must be sent in by BOTH GMs with a reasoning for the player(s) to waive. The trade must be approved by BOTH RR and IR prior to posting. Keep in mind that many NTCs or NMCs will NOT be waived.
  • The commissioners will provide a 5 to 8-team no-trade list for players with an unspecified "limited NTC" upon request.
  • NTC/NMC LIST
  • If a trade involving a NTC or NMC is announced before approval, it will be vetoed.
  • If a team does not have enough cap space to complete a trade that has been sent in, the trade will be vetoed.
  • Vetoed deals must be significantly altered in order for them to be accepted.
  • If a player waives his NTC or NMC, the NTC or NMC will still be valid with their new team.

Soundwave was going to be an RFA agent but he didn't sign up, so let me know if you can be the East RFA agent.

AND WE HAVE A TRADE TO ANNOUNCE! The :habs have sent forward Paul Byron to :stars in exchange for a 2016 6th round draft pick!

Here's Stars' GM Jim Nill on the trade: "We like this deal for us. We have great scouts that have a knack for finding good players in the mid-late rounds with fewer picks than most scouts, and so we can afford to part with this pick. In return, Byron is a great, speedy forward who scores shorthanded goals like crazy. A great bottom sixer, despite his small size."

We are sad to see Keith go. He has been a very good player for us, we just knew we weren't going to be able to give him what he wanted in terms of his next contract so we had to maximize the asset. We are very high on Ryan and are happy to have a 1st round pick in this years draft after moving our own pick this year for Yandle. We feel Ryan will be very close to NHL duty next season.
