I'm also waiting on replies.

I agree with Soli that we should plan out who the FA agents are prior to FA period. Maybe if we had them declared prior to the draft (and this is something that the players will have to take initiative with).

Seriously, I PMed one person to sign an UFA, wrong person I was told and PM was fw to a 2nd person... who just informed me today that I have to send it to a 3rd person...

too late, the guy was signed already, at less than what I was offering.

Pretty happy with our season/offseason- added Loui Eriksson and Joffrey Lupul to our top six, creating three potent scoring lines in the process. Re-vamped the defense and added a blue chipper in Brandon Gormley. The depth is there in the prospect pool for continued success.

And one person who at first wasn't able to check who was the agent...

:cbj 2014-14 TRAINING CAMP

I don't have a "set" opening day roster, so i'm gonna break it down by camp battles:

TOP SIX

Marchand-Dubinsky-Anisimov
Umberger-Brassard-Atkinson

Also in the mix: Kyle Palmieri

We didn't get the "big gun" we were looking for in FA, but Brad MArchand and an improving Atkinson, Dubs and AA wills trengthen our top-six. Palmieri was added in the Seth Jones trade, so he'll be given a long look at camp

BOTTOM SIX

Bourque-Johansen-____
Boll-MacKenzie-Dorsett

In the mix: Skille, Jenner, Calvert, whoever is the odd man out in the Top-six battle

Bourque and Skille are low-risk reclamation projects. the 4th line is lacking in skill, but looks downright NASTY. Good luck with that, future opponents

D-MEN:

Wiz-Johnson
Tutyin-Nikitin
Kaberle-Savard
Moore-Erixon
Murray

7 D-spots available, 9 men that are NHL-ready (plus guys like Goubluef and Barberio that will get a look). This should be exciting. Savard, Moore, Erixon and JJ are the future, but Nikitin-Tutyin play well together, and Kaberle was another low-risk veteran that wouldn't look out of place in any pairing. Murray will be a franchise D-man, but a year in the AHL to adjust to the pro game will likely be best for him

GOALIE

Crawford
Vokoun
Bobrovsky

Again, a surplus of talent. We will likely carry 3 G to start the year, and their play in camp will determine 1A, 1B, and trade bait. All 3 are #1-capable but have struggled lately, we are hoping the camp battle will jumpstart their skills.

York, Tokarski and Oliver Dansk will also get looks, but will barring an injury continue to grow in the AHL and/or Europe

Avs decided to roll four offensive lines, any of the 12 forwards can play on any of the lines depending on chemistry. We believe that we can just constantly send wave after wave of offensive attacks until the other team collapses. Our defense and goaltending are young, with lots of potential and already pretty darn good. Yep.

there was no way for me to know that the player didnt receive any QO.

Weather the player received a QO or not, you'd still go to the same guy (his original RFA agent)

Ironically, We set it up that way to prevent these situations :-P

was told by a commish to contact UFA agent...

anyway, what's done is done, the game is over now, whatever happens with UFA/RFA wont matter much.

not sure how I like Scarlett Johansson in a defensive role. I'd like her better in front, on a line with some swedish twins maybe ?

Steve Bernier is underrated. He's top line/top pairing material.
